CIA inputs led to the arrest of a fake visa racket mastermind in Delhi.

It's not everyday that Delhi police receives information from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) that leads to the disposal of a case. On August 23, city cops arrested Mohammad Shah Jalal from Majnu Ka Tila in north Delhi and busted a fake visa racket in the process. The inputs came from CIA.

"We received secret information from the CIA about a Bangladeshi national involved in human trafficking with fake Nepali visas to send citizens of his own country to other nations. We immediately deployed a team for investigations. During the probe we found that the suspect Jalal was working from the Majnu Ka Tila area.

We traced his mobile number and then started trailing him through technical surveillance," said a police officer.
The cops recorded his telephonic conversation and they intercepted his routine. The police heard him talking to someone of arranging a meeting on August 23 near Majnu Ka Tila.

Caught red-handed
"We heard him talking to someone and we laid a trap to catch him. After waiting for about 15 minutes when his associate did not turn up, the accused was apprehended. A cursory search was conducted during which a black leather traveller's pouch was discovered tied to his waist. On checking of the pouch, it was found containing a passport and a national ID card both of Bangladesh issued in the accused's name.

We also found one National ID Card of Nepal in the name of Mohd. Shakir Husain s/o Ishak Mian, one blank Visa sticker of Canada with an immigration/hologram strip, three blank National citizenship ID Cards of Nepal, an Indian passport bearing the number G6904616 in the name of Nirmal Singh s/o Kashmir Singh r/o Moradabad, UP and another one bearing the number G6542237 in the name of Harjeet Singh s/o Sant Captain Singh r/o Jalandhar, Punjab. Further investigations revealed more passports from his room and Rs 50,000 in Nepali currency," the officer added.

The accused is a Bangladesh national and was residing in India without any visa.

The special staff of the Delhi Police claimed to have busted a gang involved in a fake visa racket on August 14. Two fake visas of Germany, a Schengen visa (a visa valid for a group of European countries), some passports, forged Russian job invitation letters, cash worth Rs 2.78 lakh and two Russian SIM cards have been recovered from their possession.
On August 12, the special staff office received information that two persons who were actively involved in human trafficking by procuring fake visas for European countries would come near Mata Sundari College to deliver a fake visa to one Gommi.
