CIDCO officials arrested for accepting Rs 50K bribe

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) yesterday arrested two CIDCO officials while they were accepting bribe of Rs 50,000 from a lawyer.


According to an ACB official, advocate Vandana Jadhav was trying to procure conveyance deed for her clients' building - Sri Ganesh Society in Ghansoli - since the past 18 months.u00a0

However, CIDCO Estate Officer Sanjeev Dhole (45), and Office Assistant Sunanda Gaikwad (51), demanded Rs 1 lakh from her to issue the same. After much negotiation, a deal was struck for Rs 50,000.
