This is not a new model that has been introduced by any motor company but an ordinary Maruti 800.
The desire to own a sports car, made Rahul Mane seek assistance of a mechanic Mohammad Sheikh, who gave vent to his passion by successfully converting a Maruti 800 car into a swanky convertible sports car named YC4.
Mane had been harbouringu00a0 this dream for years. His fantasy turned into realityu00a0after he met Mohammad Sheikh.
The makingMohammad Bhai, as Mane calls him, is the owner of Bombay Auto Garage on Tilak Road and has been repairing battered cars.
"It was a long grind. It look almost an year to change the look of the car," said Mane. He added that the trickiest part was to increase the height of the car to fit the wheels.

And when the car was ready, it seemed to be an assorted wonder. Explaining the statistics of the car, Sheikh said, "The steering is of a Toyota Sera, while the dash board and meters are that of a Matiz. Besides, I have used the dicey and tail lamps of the Hyundai Getz."
"The doors of the car open like that of a Ferrari, which gives it a ritzy look," said a visibility elated Mane.

Mane added that the car looks like a butterfly with its doors open and interestingly, it generates power of 1300cc out of an 800cc Maruti engine.
