"The Centre has allotted Rs 250 crore for initial phase of NRLM," State Rural Development Minister Jayant Patil said at a press conference here.u00a0
"We will spend Rs 5,000 crore under this scheme, which will benefit people living below the poverty," he said.
NRLM, a poverty-alleviating scheme, aims to reach out to all rural poor families through self-help groups.
The districts selected for the scheme are Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nadurbar, Osmanabad, Thane, Ratnagiri, Jalana, Wardha, Solapur and Yavatmal, Patil added.
