Stating the National Security Guards (NSG) have been put on high alert, Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Wednesday asked the people to maintain calm following the three blasts that took place in Mumbai.
Chidambaram, who chaired a high-level meeting with security and government officials after the blasts, said around ten people have lost their lives and over 54 others have been injured in the blasts.
The three blasts took place at Dadar in central Mumbai and Opera House and Zaveri Bazar in south Mumbai.
"We have talked to Maharashtra Chief Minister and other security officials. There is no other information on blast at any other place apart from the three places," said Chidambaram.
