The state police have issued high alert in all police commissionerates and all district head quarters after three explosions rocked Mumbai yesterday evening.
ADGP Rupak Kumar Datta has issued alert notices to all Police Commissioners and Districts Superintendents of police to keep strict vigil and maintain security measures to prevent any untoward incidents.
He also said that the officers have been asked to keep a tab on all airports, including Bangalore International Airport, railway stations and bus stands.
Meanwhile, the DGP office has alerted the coastal security force and also the SPs of coastal districts to keep strict vigil.
Precautionary step
This is in view of an input from the Intelligence Bureau that suspected terrorists may enter the state through the sea-way.
In addition, police in the city are also on high alert and have deputed police teams in sensitive places.u00a0"I have asked my officials and personnel to be alert at all sensitive places like airports, bus stands, malls etc.
Hoysala, Cheeta and other patrolling teams are on duty," said Additional Commissioner of Police T Sunil Kumar.
