Au00a0realtor has filed a complaint that someone has stolen his licensed pistol from the car , but police suspect some foul play in the case.
R Ravi, owner of Kushi Developers and builders in Kothanur, said that some property documents and cash worth Rs 15,000 have also been stolen from the car along with the pistol. Ravi told the police that he used to keep the licensed gun made in USA and worth about Rs 2.25 lakh loaded in his dashboard.
On Sunday, Ravi had come to his office along with his driver. He entered the office while the driver stayed back in the parking lot. The driver then left to get the car's spare tyre repaired and returned half an hour later to see the lock open and the belongings missing.
Ravi said that the thief knew where the weapon was kept. The police has not ruled out foul play, and suspects that either the driver or Ravi has concocted their version of the incident.
