Cong MLA Yogeswar to join BJP

Congress MLA from Channapatana C P Yogeswar has said he would join the BJP after the Ugadi festival.

There were rumours that the actor-turned-politician will be contesting from Bangalore rural on a BJP ticket.

On Thursday, he confirmed his decision to join BJP while speaking to reporters. He said he has already with the BJP mentally; only some technical formalities are to be completed.

Yogeswar said he would soon resign from Congress and contest Lok Sabha elections. He is likely to face former chief minister H D Kumarawamy, the JD (S) candidate in Bangalore Rural.u00a0
