Victim, guest of a Union Minister at Western Court hostel in Delhi, was captured on video in an intimate position with her husband by a worker who's now been sacked

It's not just the sleazy hotels of the Capital where you need to be careful of voyeurs and hidden cameras before shedding your inhibitions. A Congress delegate found this out the hard way.

An employee of the Western Court transit hostel situated at Janpath in New Delhi area was sacked after he was allegedly caught filming the woman being intimate with her husband in one of the rooms on July 10. The victim, Sushma (name changed) was the guest of a union minister. She has also complained to the police in this respect on July 12.

Speaking to MiD DAY, Sushma said that she is a Congress national delegate from Patna (Bihar). She was staying at the Western Court along with her husband when the incident took place. An official of the Western Court wishing anonymity confirmed the incident. He said that the accused employee Mukesh Chand was sacked soon after.

"Sushma stayed in room number 55 of the Western Court. Mukesh used to work on reception in the Western Court. He and his friend allegedly tried to make a video of the woman and her husband with a mobile phone. Police is looking into the matter," the official said.

A police official said that they have taken the statement of Sushma and are probing the case. "Sushma in her statement told the police that she was with her husband in the room when she heard a thud. She noticed that two persons were peeping inside through a window and were filming their act in a cellphone. She raised an alarm and the duo fled from there," said the police official.

He also said that Sushma identified one of the accused Mukesh Chand. She and her husband reached the reception and found that he was lying there in an inebriated condition. Sushma called a friend Hashim and narrated him the whole incident. Hashim then asked Mukesh Chand to hand them over his cellphone. But Mukesh refused.

"Mukesh manhandled Sushma, her husband and Hashim. His cellphone fell on the floor and broke. But Sushma and her friend managed to get the memory card. This was handed over to the police," said the police official.
The official said that memory card contained some vulgar videos but he refused to reveal whether it contained any videos of the Congress delegate. Mukesh is out on bail.

"A person named Nitin, who is a friend of the accused, called him up, when he was caught. He asked him whether the matter was sorted out or not. Nitin can be the second person who was trying to film their act," said a police official on the condition of anonymity.

Temporary trouble
Meanwhile, Gyanender Singh, chief caretaker at Western Court said that the accused Mukesh was not a permanent employee. "Mukesh was working on contract basis. He was hired through a contractor. He was working here for the past one year. I was not in town when this incident was reported. He has been sacked," said Singh. "She might be an AICC delegate. But I'm not aware of her identity or this particular incident," said senior Congress leader Shakeel Ahmad.

MMS scandal
Recently JNU MMS scandals had rocked the city. The main accused behind the incident 23-year-old Janardhan Kumar is now behind bars. The film was reportedly shot around six month ago by a couple of students of School of Languages. It is believed that the boy and the girl in the film, who are natives of Bihar, were provided with the equipment for shootingu00a0 by a student of Computer Science.u00a0 When other students of the university came to know about the incident, they bashed up the boy who had 'acted' in the film. University officials then reportedly destroyed the CD and tried to hush up the matter. This act of university officials however came a bit late because by then the copies of the CD had already been taken out of the university. The CD has the girl watching a pornographic movie while indulging in sexual acts that are getting recorded by a camera set on an almirah.
