New Delhi: Congress workers, led by the chief of the party's Delhi unit Arvinder Singh Lovely, protested against the Modi government's decision to hike rail fares on Saturday. The protesters gathered in west Delhi's Janakpuri area and raised slogans against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "They promised to curb inflation but ever since they have come to power, everything has become more expensive," Lovely said. "They asked for votes on the promise of bringing down prices. But now that they are in power, they have failed to prove themselves. Is this why people voted for them?"
