The constable Rajendra Singh was recently posted at the Maurya Enclave police station. The incident took place at around 8.30 pm at Pitampura police lines. The constable was immediately rushed to the Jaipur Golden Hospital in Rohini and was declared brought dead by the doctors.
The last strawAccording to sources, Rajendra was a father of three, who was recently transferred to Maurya Enclave police station. Reports suggest, he had been asking his superiors for leave for quite a long time. But his request was turned down every time. This could be a potential reason for his suicide.
Sources also said Rajendra was an alcoholic and was allegedly in depression for quite sometime. "A case has been registered at Pitampura police lines and investigation is on," a police official said.
