Vishal had a heated exchange with his cousin Kailash Totre over a family land dispute at the former's home in Ambegaon taluka yesterday night.

The quarrel took an ugly turn and Vishal fired shots from his revolver.

Fortunately Kailash was unhurt. Fearing police complaint, Vishal ran away.

Police Inspector A S Gawari of the Manchar police station said, "Vishal went to his friend's place. We sent his father to identify him. The search team visited many places in the city. If required the search will continue tomorrow."

Vishal has been booked under the charges of section 307 (attempt to murder) of the Indian Penal Code.
