The police are also trying to locate his close friends to get more details about him a probable clue about his location.

A manhunt was launched for the boy, accused of shooting and circulating a striptease video of his former girlfriend, following a complaint by the victim's family that he was threatening to kill her.

Both the boy and the girl are students of a Noida business school. The institute suspended the boy on Friday and a disciplinary committee is looking into the matter.

On Sunday, the Faridabad police conducted raids at three places in Noida, including the Sector 49 address of the accused, but were unable to trace him.

"We doubt that he has taken shelter at his sister's place in Delhi. We are trying to locate her address," a Faridabad police official said.

"We may conduct some more raids tomorrow," the police officer said.

The police would also meet the B-school authorities to find out more details about the accused boy. "Tomorrow (Tuesday) morning we will go to the B-school," added the police official.

"We are also trying to trace phone numbers of his close friends to locate the guy."

The police have booked the accused under sections 506 (criminal intimidation and 507 (criminal intimidation by anonymous caller).

However, Noida police confirmed that so no complaint has been lodged regarding the sex clip as such.
MiD DAY had first reported about the MMS on February 17.

The accused hails from Kolkata and his father is a businessman there.

Meanwhile, the clip was uploaded on the popular video sharing website Youtube on Friday. It had around 37,000 views and 31 comments by Sunday evening.

When MiD DAY contacted a Youtube official, he said there were various filters in place to check videos for content. "Videos are uploaded by users and it takes time for us to filter and remove objectionable clips," he said.

"The other way out is by reporting abuse. In this a user reports about an objectionable clip by marking it for abuse filter," he added.

The full sex clip was uploaded by an anonymous user in two parts of 29 and 18 seconds duration each.
Meanwhile, the brother of the 23-year-old victim has reportedly lodged a complaint with the National Commission for Women (NCW).

It is claimed that the boy circulated the sex clip after the girl turned down his marriage proposal.
