The Osmanabad police have put up posters of two boys who went missing from their homes on December 24 near the Pune railway station. The boys, Ameya Jadhav and Onkar Patil, both aged 13, had stolen Rs 51,000 from their home in Osmanabad and run away.

The police got a tip-off that the boys might be staying somewhere near the Pune railway station.

PSI N L Ghatage said both the boys were residents of Samata Nagar in Osmanabad and were studying in Std VIII of Bhosale High School. "The juveniles ran away from their homes after stealing Rs 51,000," he said. "Both of them are from upper-middle-class families and their parents are worried as there has been no trace of them till date."

The police had distributed pictures of the teens to the railway police in Mumbai, Solapur, Latur and Beed.

"Our suspicion is that the boys might be staying near the Pune railway station and the search is still on. We are also searching the Swargate State Transport Bus Stand," Ghatage said.
