Diner says overpowering stench assaulted his family's nostrils in parking lot of upscale eatery
Imagine you take your family to one of the most happening lounge-restaurants in the city and the moment you park your car, an awful smell hits your olfactory receptors. That's what Akshay Salunke (21) says he experienced when he took his family for dinner to Ccasanova in Kalyani Nagar on Saturday night.
Salunke said the moment he entered the restaurant parking lot, he experienced a very unpleasant odour. "It smelt like some rotting dead body had been kept there. It was not only bad, but also strong," he said.
Salunke, an engineering student at Wadia, stays in Wanowrie. He said he and his family were astonished to see the state of the parking lot. "There was wet garbage dumped in a corner and some dirty boxes," he said.
He said the staff appeared unaffected by the smell and did not even apologise to the guests for the inconvenience.
"We were left with no option but to cover our noses. Even after seeing us, no one from the management enquired about the problem. They did not even look regretful," he said.
