"I like creating wearable art. You can't expect people to walk around in paper, can you? So, I use sneakers as my canvas," saysu00a0 the 25 year-old artist behind the custom-madeu00a0 hand-painted shoe project 7 Degree Burns, who simply goes by the name Vanburn.

An advertising art director by profession and fisherman by hobby, Vanburn will give wings to your ruminations on style on your footwear.

You won't see anyone else wearing the same design. "Each design is meant to match the vibe of that particular wearer.

Since no two vibes are the same, each design is unique. It's a little tedious, but heck, anything to save the universe from damnation," he drawls.

The artwork is all done by hand with studio acrylics. He doesn't use airbrushes or stencils, and the paint won't chip or fade soon.
How it works: You can either buy a pair of shoes and hand them over to vanburn to hand-paint or have 7 Degree Burns buy them before they are done up in the style that suits you.
