The anti-corruption movement led by Gandhian Anna Hazare has mobilised the students in the Capital in a substantial manner. After the student bodies protesting under banners such as Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and All India Students Association (AISA), Delhi University student leaders plan to go to every college in both campuses.

ABVP-led DU students union will give an anti-corruption 'Anna' call in the campus with a group of students going to every college to circulate pamphlets to join the movement at the Ramlila Maidan. Students will wear black strips to symbolise anti-corruption and distribute badges among students on Tuesday.u00a0
Neetu Dabas, DUSU, said, "We have organised this individual campaign so that not only students from political parties, but common students from all colleges are able to participate in this movement."
Also, following this campaign, DU students will form a human chain to show their support to Anna on Thursday. Students will begin the chain from Vishwavidyalya metro station, which will stretch till Hansraj College, located at the far end of the campus.u00a0
"I have to say the movement led by Anna Hazare has reached a stage where it will be foolish for the government to ignore or dismiss it. The movement is born out of frustration and anger. Though I am not actively participating in the movement, I have been to all the protest spots-Tihar Jail, Chhatrasal Stadium and Ramlila Maidan.
What I feel is that out of the two Bills, the Jan Lokpal Bill is more substantive as it brings all 12 million government officials under its purview. The Bill is worth giving a thought to and it should certainly make efforts to make it workable rather than fighting about it," said sociologist Dipankar Gupta.
The number game

Life on 'fast' track
Day 1-10: The body's priority is to maintain sugar supply to brain. Glycogen in liver is broken down to simple sugar for energy. This supply lasts 18 hours. Liver manufactures glucose from muscle proteins and amino acids.
Day 10-15: The body uses its fat reserves for energy.
Day 16-20:u00a0 The body's metabolic rate is reduced
Day 21: 75 per cent brain fuel is depleted; vital parameters get affected; haemoglobin level drops considerably.
