The first in the series, Twilight, had a tacky home edition with barely any special features, but its sequel, New Moon is a keep for fans. Disc One has the movie and special features: Director's Commentary, Deleted Scenes and a Sneak Peek at Eclipse. The commentary is fun; Chris Weitz gives silly behind-the-scenes trivia. The Deleted Scenes weren't missed. The sneak peek reveals that the gorgeous Rachelle Lefevre has been replaced by the bland Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria.
Disc Two starts with a six-part documentary The Journey Continues. The stunt doubles make an appearance too. Next is a fun piece, Team Edward (Robert Pattinson) Vs Team Jacob (Lautner), then Introducing the wolf pack, all of whom are native Americans, Becoming Jacob and Edward Goes to Italy.
And this one's for the fans: Edward and Jacob fast forward. You can watch only the leading men's scenes.
There are Extended Scenes (boring), Interviews with the volturi (Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning),
Fandemonium, Storyboards to Screen, a piece on the music, and music videos. We can't decide which team is cooler, but at the end of four hours, we sure were satiated.
