We have verified the owners of more than 3,000 two-wheelers bearing number plates similar to that of the motorcycle used by the killers. Over 735 history-sheeters, involved in various execution of offences using firearms, were also interrogated.

Investigating officials have been receiving crucial information related to the whereabouts of Dabholkar's killers. Several times, we went ahead and laid traps to nab the assailants. So far, we have had 16 unsuccessful attempts."
