The 21-year-old Shehzan went missing from outside the Chanakya Puri police station, making a Delhi Police team to visit West Bengal to search for him.
Police were camping in North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal when Shehzan was finally found near his house around 11.00 p.m. Saturday. Police will bring Shehzan to New Delhi to handover the body of his mother, Rakhi, for the last rites, a police official told IANS.
Police had earlier found the family home bolted from outside while Shehzan's mobile was switched off.
Sources said the police team reached the West Bengal home of the maid Saturday, but could not locate her husband or other family members.
The team is still camping in the state and has sought the help of local police.
The body of 38-year-old Rakhi was found Monday evening inside the BSP MP Dhananjay Singh's house, with several wounds on her body.
Police arrested Dhananjay and his wife, Jagriti Singh, a dentist at a government hospital, in connection with their maid's murder.
The post-mortem examination on Rakhi's body was conducted Friday at the Lady Hardinge Medical College and Hospital here, and the body is preserved in a mortuary of the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.
"The postmortem report will come on Monday," an officer said.
Police had reportedly found that Rakhi and her family were citizens of Bangladesh and shifted to West Bengal some years ago. Rakhi came to Delhi for work through a placement agency, and the agent who brought her here, Dev Kumar, is now on the run.
According to police, Shehzan came to Delhi Thursday to take the body his mother after the post-mortem examination. He told police that he had never talked to his mother since she came to Delhi 10 months ago.u00a0
