On Thursday, two policemen of the Delhi police managed to save a six-year-old boy from drowning in a drain in the Narela area in New Delhi. While speaking to news agency IANS, Gaurav Sharma, Delhi Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Outer North District said that the two head constables, identified as Narender and Yogender, heard a child crying in the drain.
According to the police official, the two constables quickly sprung into action and one of them entered the drain while the other held him from outside. The duo pulled the child, a six-year-old boy from the drain and saved his life. The duo's act of courage was praised by the local people who had gathered around the Narela drain to witness the rescue operation by the brave constables.

In a similar incident, three young sailors of the Indian Navy saved a man who was drowning at the popular Marine Drive in Mumbai. According to police officials, the young sailors of the Indian Navy noticed people gathered at a spot near the Marine Drive. Upon seeing a man drowning in the sea, the sailors immediately jumped into the waters and pulled him out, thereby saving his life.
Taking to Twitter, the spokesperson of the Indian Navy lauded the brave efforts of the three young sailors. The young sailors were later identified as Akash (Ship's Diver), Dhananjay Seaman( good swimmer) & Vishwakarma (Marine Commando). The young officers selfless and prompt action not only saved a life but their efforts were also lauded by many.
