Sharma's lawyer AP Singh requested the court to provide his client his needs including newspapers, so that he is aware of the happenings in the outer world.
After hearing the application, the judge directed the authorities of the Tihar jail to give their reply by tomorrow. While talking to reporters outside the court, accused Vinay Sharma's counsel said that his client is preparing for the Indian Air Force Category C entrance test and therefore needs a hygienic as well as nutritious diet to keep him fit.
Singh said that Vinay Sharma is preparing for the IAF entrance test starting on April 7, for which he has been provided with two tutors who are giving coaching to Vinay in the jail. He will also be appearing for his BA exams after the entrance test, said Singh.
Requesting the court to continue with his studies, accused Vinay Sharma made an appeal on March 22 to grant him bail so that he can pursue his studies.
The bail plea is yet to come up before the court. The four accused were escorted by a policeman and were sitting in the last row of the courtroom while the court was hearing the case.
Vinay who seemed to be walking with difficulty, pleaded the court to provide him good food and better clothes. He also said in the court that the clothes which were provided to him were torn and bad.
After making the appeal he quickly got back to his seat and had a conversation with rest of the co-accused in the case. So far the court has recorded statement of 63 witnesses in the case.
