Thirty one year-old corporate executive Sumit Handa allegedly stabbed his NRI wife Niranjani and used a laptop cord to strangle her on October 29. Handa was arrested by the Delhi Police on charges of murdering his wife and disposing her body by burning it.

Handa is a business development manager with a travel firm and the couple were reportedly having marital differences for a few months. As per the police, Handa planned the murder in advance and had ensured their one-year-old child was sent to Agra where his parents live.
