An assistant engineer of the Jodhpur power discom was today arrested by the Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 15000, an official said.
Engineer Mahendra Meena, posted in Sridungargarh, had demanded the bribe from complainant Shrawan Kumar to revise his electricity bills, the official said.
He said that after verification of the complaint, a trap was laid and the accused was caught accepting the bribe. The accused has been arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
