A brother and sister duo, in their 20s, was arrested here for carrying out a burglary, police said Thursday. The two committed many petty crimes to pay for drugs
Sagar, 25 and Mona, 27, who live in a slum in Holambi Kalan area of west Delhi, were arrested from Andrews Ganj in south Delhi with stolen articles, Deputy Commissioner of Police Chhaya Sharma said.
"The siblings are in a habit of consuming drugs. They told us that they took to criminal activities to afford drugs," Sharma added.
Their arrests came following a call at Police Control Room regarding a theft in Defence Colony Wednesday.

They began by stealing articles like clothes from houses, iron rods and taps, but gradually started committing burglaries.
