Lands car into a drain while returning from a late night movie
A car rammed into a drain in Noida, early in the morning on Sunday, leaving one dead and another passenger injured. According to the police, the deceased Aditya was a property dealer and was driving in an inebriated condition. A bottle of alcohol was also recovered from the car.u00a0u00a0u00a0
A resident of Sector 19, Noida, Aditya was returning home after a late night movie at Spice Mall, along with his friends Tripti Chauhan, Satya and Pinki.u00a0 He dropped Satya and Pinky home before deciding to go on a drive to Greater Noida.u00a0
Around 2am, the white-coloured Hyundai i10 crashed into a drain. A passer-by, Javed, informed the police, who came to find Aditya dead. Tripti, a freelance media professional, survived the accident with a broken right hand. She has been admitted to the Kailash hospital.
Javed, who was on his way to Noida from Sarita Vihar, said, "The car crashed with a huge bang. I immediately called the police. I thought no one would have survived the accident. Fortunately, the girl is alive."
