Globe trotter
Miler, since 2006, has visited over 20 countries and travelled more than 20,000 km to spread awareness on renewable sources of energy with his Eco Auto.
His Eco Auto has cinema screening facility that Miler uses to spread his message effectively. It also has three beds, a bathroom and a toilet.
Companies too?
Miler will visit various colleges, IT companies and villages throughout the tour and create awareness on renewable sources of energy. He will also hold talks on importance of utilizing Bio fuels, solar energy and other renewable sources of energy.
"We have to make complete use of the natural resources. Relying extensively on non-renewable sources of energy will create imbalance in the eco system. So I'm trying to convey this message with IYCN volunteers in our road tour," added Miler.
REVA-lution
REVA electric car company in their move to promote its gen-next cars that run only on renewable sources of energy has joined hands with IYCN by providing them with cars that run completely on solar energy. Built using Li-ion technology using lithium batteries, the car can travel about 200 kilometers on a single charge.
"We are promoting the cause through these cars that are powered by natural resource," said Ramnitesh, a BTech student and IYCN coordinator, Chennai.
"We urge the youth to fight challenges of climate change by using renewable resources of energy."
