Escort site used to settle score

Bangalore'su00a0cyber crime police have arrested a software engineer who floated an obscene profile of his sister-in-law on the Internet to settle a personal score with her. The victim, Radha Rao (name changed), who is married and is working in a private firm, started receiving calls in October from strangers seeking sexual favours.

Shocked by this, she asked a caller how he got her number, only to find that her profile had been posted on the website of an escort agency. Radha filed a complaint with the cyber crime police, who traced the IP to her brother-in-law, Prasad Rao, working in anu00a0 IT firm in Chennai. Deputy Superintendent of Police, T V Prabhakar, said, "Prasad confessed to the crime and revealed that he wanted to settle a personal score."
