The veteran actor-filmmaker Feroz Khan(70) died at his Bangalore farm house at 1am last night. He was battling cancer for over a year. His son Fardeen and daughter-in-law Natasha were with him in his last moments.u00a0 The rest of the Khan family is coming in today.

His first big hit was Oonche Log,u00a0 in 1965. In 2007, he starred in the superhit film Welcome.

Says Ramesh Arvind, actor, director, "Feroz Khan was the last name in style in Bollywood...u00a0 Whenever I visited five-star hotels, I've heard the wait staff extol his generosity and flamboyance. I think Qurbani was the most stylish film made ever. I watched that film several times over. Just a couple of days ago I enjoyed watching him as RDX in Welcome."

Phirooza Rustumji, jewellery designer says, "I knew him and his family well. He was a very good host. Whenever we met at parties he would keep us all entertained for hours with his interesting conversations. He would also make you feel so khandani with his royal style.u00a0 We will miss him."
