Job portal Naukri.com has introduced NaukriOnChat which allows job search through chat messenger on Gmail/GTalk. It not only enables search for jobs, but also allows viewing job details and applying via chat.
Besides being time efficient, this new feature allows users to search for jobs within the privacy of their chat window.
Consuming lower bandwidth, the chat feature even works well on non broad-band connections. The search is real time, throwing up live job listings from Naukri.com.
To use NaukriOnChat, add jobs@chat.naukri.com as a friend to GTalk list and then type 'help' to get instructions. Follow the instructions for searching for new job opportunities.

Users who are registered with Naukri.com with the same Gmail ID can apply to jobs via chat. Non registered users can search for jobs and view job descriptions. A user may note job ids and log on to Naukri.com to apply to a job. The service is also beneficial to users who access Gtalk via mobile phone.
