According to the police, he was working as a driver at the Jayanagar fire station on Bannerghatta Road and owned an autorickshaw, which he used to ferry passengers after completing his shift everyday.

The deceased used to park his vehicle behind the fire station and on Monday night, he hanged himself from a cross section of the roof of his autorickshaw with a nylon rope, said the Wilson Garden police, who have registered a case.

It is suspected that he had not gone home since the past four days as he was having some financial problems, which might have led him to take the extreme step. The Wilson Garden police have registered a case of unnatural death and are investigating.
