Flowers are beautiful but ephemeral. But you can change that. Simply, visit the stall by National Botanical Research Institute from Lucknow at the India International Trade Fair, currently on at Pragati Maidan.
The institute has come up with a technique to preserve flowers for more that ten years.u00a0u00a0u00a0

"We expect to have a public-private partnership with many companies. In fact some have already started to contribute," said Dr Banerji from NBRI.
According to him, there are two ways to perform the technique - one is the 'pressing method' and the other is the 'dehydration of the flowers'.
"We will give people a one-time training that will cost them Rs 35,000- 40,000," said Dr Banerji, adding that the process is completely natural.
