Delhi's notorious fog cover has started to shroud the city and this time, it has brought with it a biting chill.
An official from India Meteorological Department said a shallow fog was recorded early on Tuesday morning.
"Visibility recorded at 7.30 am on Tuesday morning was 600 metres. Even during the day it was a bit cloudy.
The temperature will fall further and the fog cover might start increasing," said the official, wishing anonymity as he was not authorised to make a comment.
On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.7 degree Celsius and minimum at 9.3 degree Celsius.
The week had begun on a relatively warm note with the mercury recording a slight jump on Monday from the previous week. However, on Tuesday, the sky remained cloudy.
On Monday, Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 25.1 degrees Celsius. The temperature had dropped to 7.9 degrees Celsius on Saturday, the lowest in the season so far.
