New Delhi: Delhiites today woke up to shallow foggy conditions with the minimum temperature settling at 9.4 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year even as poor visibility conditions affected rail and air traffic.
"54 north-bound trains were running behind scheduled while departure of 12 trains were rescheduled keeping in mind the bad weather conditions," a senior railway official said.
Also, some flights were delayed. Visibility was recorded at 800 meters at 8.30 AM, a MeT department official said. Humidity was recorded at 88 per cent at 8.30 AM.
The weatherman has predicted mainly clear skies for the day and the maximum temperature is expected to settle at 27 degrees Celsius.
Yesterday the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.8 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature was pegged at 26.2 degrees Celsius.
