Aundh, the fastest growing hub for lifestyle products boasts of a new ethnic wear store. Full of big brands and swish restaurants, what the area lacked was an affordable Indian wear store. And when we stumbled on Isha's Kashish, with kurtis starting at an affordable Rs 300, salwar kameez at Rs 400,u00a0 and saris at Rs 500 we just couldn't believe our luck.

"The idea behind the store is to display clothes at an affordable price. We do not want to segregate middle-class women and only concentrate on those who can afford high-priced clothes. So, the prices start at a minimum and cover high-end ranges as well," says Kashmira Kapare, daughter of one of the owners.

This is the fourth store by Saroj Kapare and Sanjeevni Gaikwad who started the first one a few years ago. Their focus is on design and price. Clothes are picked from small designers and outlets from across the country.

Though they follow latest trends, maintaining exclusivity on each piece is also a consideration, they say.

DECOR DETAIL
The three-storeyed store has all wooden interiors giving it a classy warm look. The ground floor is dedicated to stitching and trial, while the first floor has kurtis and dress materials displayed. On the second floor is the section for salwaar kameezes and saris. With mattress on one side and a square table in the middle that displays the clothes, the second storey has a cosy feeling.

FILMY COLLECTION
Saris, salwar kameezes, kurtis and dress materials form the store's mainstay. The kurtis stocked come are designed for all occasions -- casual and party wear. But what really stands out is their collection of salwar kameezes and saris.

Most of the collection was in silk, cotton and georgette and came in a colourful variety. A lot of the kurti collection sported umbrella cuts -- very reminiscent of Deepika Padukone in Love Aaj Kal. Some of them sported subtle changes in details like net sleeves. Most of the salwar kameezes were more suited for parties with rich designs in jamewadi, zardozi and velvet. The saris come in range of textiles -- kota, net, cotton, silk and even some blingy party wear georgettes just out of Ekta Kapoor's serials. What we loved most was the sense of space, which gave us all the time in the world to go through every piece.
