Four persons were arrested by Delhi police in connection with the gang rape of a 22-year-old girl that took place in Seemapuri area of northeast Delhi on the 30th of November.

A senior police official said that another accused is still on the run. He added that an FIR in the matter had been registered on December 1.

"The accused have been identified as Kamal, Rajan, Virender and Sidharth. The victim was returning home from the market when the accused kidnapped her and took her to an isolated place where they raped her one by one. Next day the girl reached home and narrated the whole incident to her family members who called the police. An FIR was finally lodged after getting the medical report," said the official.

The official said that the victim has given a statement and the case is being investigated. The girl had given them some vital clues which helped the police in nabbing the accused. However, the official refused to divulge more details of the case.
