One girl was rescued while she was being taken to be sold to a brothel while other three others were rescued from a brothel at Budhwar Peth. Acting on a tip off, officials from the cell laid a trap at Pune Saswad road on Saturday.u00a0
"We caught the person who was pushing the girl into flesh trade. A woman named Sonal had promised the girl, who is from West Bengal, a good job. However, when she came here, she was sold to a brothel. We have rescued her and have lodged complaint against Dablue Husain Anarul Huck (25) from Murshidabad, who lives in Hinjewadi," said Police Inspector Bhanupratap Berge, Social Security Cell.
In another rescue operation carried out in a brothel in the red light area at Budhwar Peth on Saturday, Social Security Cell officials raided a building and rescued three minor girls. One of the girls was also lured with the promise of a good job and brought from Assam.
The girls have been sent to rescue home in Hadapsar.
