NGO to launch second season of the popular initiative in an attempt to inspire young people to build a better Bangalore
The popular music retreat at Cubbon Park is all set to make a comeback from January. However, unlike the past when performances were based on a theme, Prakruthi, the city-based NGO behind this initiative, has decided
to campaign for a better Bengalore through the retreat and will bring musicians and artists from all over the world.
"The band stand will start this January," said MS Prasad, founder, Prakruthi. "We are coming with new experiments that aim for a better tomorrow."
The performances will be held every Sunday from January to June and singers will try to inspire young people to build a better Bangalore.

"We will also be having stage performances, which will include skits and dramas calling for a better Bangalore. There will, of course, be the good old music evenings," said Prasad.
'Reduce Plastic', 'Vote for a better tomorrow' and 'One house one tree' are some of themes that organisers plan to showcase as skits in this forum.
"Keeping in mind over two thousand audience present every week, we will be bringing in troops from across the world to convey message on better Bangalore through music."
Troops from Russia and Mexico have already agreed.
However, organisers have deliberately kept plans for the fiftieth week of performance under wraps.
Praveen D Rao, co-founder of the NGO agreed that they will be working with the state government.
"However, we are looking for more private players to join hands to make music flourish in Bangalore," he added.
