Very few of the lesser mortals get to live an experience that makes life for them, worth living. I am one of those lucky few who got to

Just back after a sabbatical. A break that not just transported me to a stern world of austerity but also transformed me into a fearless and a tranquil human being.

Preaching too much, am I? Perhaps. But, I am no 'swami' and neither am I associated with any scandalous activities.

I am just a common man returning to my pavilion (my radio station) after contesting the BBMP election.

Yes.... I did contest the elections. As an independent candidate from my ward (No. 89, Jougpalya). Only to put this fact that says: 'Youth is the power, Youth is the future' through an acid test.

Success, I did taste, when a bunch of young people who believe in the same ideology joined me.

Glory, I did feel, when voters patted my back for giving them a choice like never before. (i.e., to vote for a young, educated media professional). But amidst all this is where I witnessed the real world.

The world of politics. So real or rather the reality here is so hard that it reduces the normal world we live in, to a fantasy.

The people in it, the language spoken, the business, the culture, the threats and the deals there, are beyond the wildest of realities that ever existed.

It is, in other words a completely different parallel universe that is in operation that navigates the path of the universe we live in.

Getting exposed to every demeanor of this world of politics not just makes me feel like a stiff-necked swashbuckler but also rounds me off as a composed tranquil human, on whom no mighty pressure or stress can crack through anymore. Certainly, a life propelling moment.

But for now, here I am, this is me, thankfully in one full piece. Back into the mad, mad world with the maddest of all, the baadshah of maniacs, "my better half", as he is popularly known: Prithvi.

And as we start of our new innings together, we hit the right chord on the first note itself, which seldom happens.

We just wrapped the World Lake Preservation Day celebrations, by doing our show, LIVE from the Lalbagh Lake (7 to 11am).

Watch out for all our MJs doing the same from different lakes across the city, all through the day. And save our lakes because many love stories happen on a walk around a lake... Don't believe me? Ask my parents!
