They alleged that the petrol pump where he works as an attendant issued fake emission test certificates.
Narrating the incident to the police, Rajkumar said that he was abducted while he was returning home from work. The men came on motorcycles and stopped him before taking him into 'custody'.
Then they took him to a dilapidated house adjacent to Shantinagar graveyard and assaulted him, demanding information on how they printed fake emission test certificates.
"They kept beating me for two days until I confessed to printing and selling fake emission test certificates, thereby cheating the transport department," Rajkumar said.
The day after the abducting, the kidnappers asked Rajkumar to call up B Venkataramaiah, owner of the petrol pump, and asked for Rs 20,000 for his release.
However, when Venkataramaiah refused to oblige, they made Rajkumar call his brother for the money.
Unable to arrange the amount, his brother Ramu filed a complaint with Siddapura police station.
Meanwhile, when the abductors realised that they wouldn't get the money, they took the petrol pump keys from Rajkumar and made away with a computer monitor and some documents from the office. Besides, they took his wallet containing Rs 16,500, an ATM card and his mobile phone.
After torturing him for three days, the gang released him. They warned him of dire consequences if he told anyone about the incident. Besides, they threatened him of releasing the video of his confession to the press that they had filmed.
The four then dropped Rajkumar in the city and gave him Rs 400 asking him to leave Bangalore immediately.
After the release, a terrified Rajkumar filed a complaint with the Jayanagar police.
The name of abductors is Pratam, Shiva, Naveen and Denis, which Rajkumar had overheard while they used to talk.
According to the description given by him, the police are looking out for the kidnappers. "As we are still the investigating, we can't divulge any details at the moment," a police officer said.
