Butterflies have captured human imagination for longer than we can remember. Interesting to study, they are also depicted in various forms like art, mythology and folklore.

Popularly known as the Butterflyman of India, Isaac Kehimkar the Deputy Director (Natural History), BNHS has authored 'Butterflies of India' which delves into these winged beauties.

The book will be launched on November 18, at the Hornbill House by Bittu Sahgal, Founding Editor of Sanctuary Asia, a renowned conservationist.

"I am glad the book which has contributions not just from butterfly lovers in India but also from our neighboring countries like Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Pakistan is ready for release. This was truly a delightful journey in making this book and I hope the readers too will enjoy this endless chase of butterflies," says Mr. Isaac Kehimkar.
