Ghajini: A case of memory loss?

Aamir Khan's Ghajini is evoking mixed response. While some fans seem to be disappointed over the film in spite of the hype created over it, some aren't ready to write it off and hail it as a success story.u00a0

This fan is peeved at the way Aamir being obsessed with his body "and so much in love with Asin that he was unable to think about anything else."

u00a0"It is perhaps a coincidence that everyone else associated with the film also suffered from "short term" loss of sense and sensibility. The action? Well, I don't have the stomach for such heavy-metal skull bashing in slow motion!," this blogger is taking a tongue-in-cheek approach.

The blogger is wondering what is the meaning of the film title. "I was really mystified ! After watching the film I am still not sure what Ghajini means but I think it means "a group of persons suffering from collective delusion."

"Ghajini is a waste of Aamir's perfectionstict approach, his talent. His 8-pack physic helps him to portray an on-screen animal that unfortunately falls pray to a pathetic script (and editor's Short Term Memory loss!)," says another blogger.u00a0

The blogger says that the story is a "violent revenge with pouring blood and wholesale killings that is equivalent of a Rambo or a Terminator. Kids perhaps will not enjoy watching dear Nikumbh Sir (TZP fame) flaunting muscles, shaving his head off, tattooing the whole body with phone numbers, and smashing the goondas with steel rod."

This fan also isn't impressed with the plot of the film and says that "the film falls in the league of complete masala films like Shiva, Drohi, that sadly Aamir could not resist. The songs are well-composed and miss-placed as ever."

Not everyone isn'tu00a0unhappy with the film.u00a0
This bloggeru00a0is happy that "everyone in town including biggest banners of Indian film industry is just awestricken with Ghajini's tremendous opening."

The blogger is also happy that the film's name is mentioned in the "business sections' of each top-charting newspaper."

"It's so fantastic to hear that Aamir's 'Ghajini' made a collection of Rs 35 crores by advance booking on first day itself. None of the year's best super hits including 'Singh is King' and 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' had leaped with such big collections," says the fan.

Quoting sources this fan says that King Khan had already requested Murugadoss for a more powerful script than 'Ghajini.'

This bloggeru00a0named Deepak seems to have a taken a middle-path saying "it is not a great movie, but it is not a bad movie."u00a0

According to him, Aamir Khan does justice to his roleu00e2u0080u00a6 Asin was probably better in the Tamil version, but doesn't give any reason to complain in the Hindi version too." He, however, complains about A R Rahman's music which "seemed uninspired."

This bloggeru00a0informs us that a PC game, named Ghajini The Game, featuring Aamir Khan, is ready to hit the market. Earlier the video game was scheduled to hit the market a month before the "Ghajini" release.

"It's as slick as any cat-and-mouse PC Game with a computerised Aamir Khan looking like a replica of what he did in 'Ghajini' (same hairstyle included) chasing the villains. Basically the game borrows the 'Ghajini' plot from the time Aamir's character is hit on the head to the time he catches and kills the first villain."
