Making the most of his time in the hospital, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is recovering fast from a coronary bypass surgery with Mirza Ghalib as his companion.
The Prime Minister who is recuperating at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences spends "most of time" listening to compositions of Ghalib, his daughter Daman Singh said.
"Most of the time he is just resting. He is also listening to music. Somebody had got him a CD of Ghalib's compositions, last night he was listening to that," she added.
Daman said her father's "desire" is just to get back home. "Rather than taking the home to the hospital, he just wants to be home," she said.
Talking to a news channel about Singh's health, the PM's daughter said, "He is doing well...we are all very encouraged by what doctors are telling us...he looks quite strong."
When asked how was the family coping with the situation, Daman said the family was spending more time together supporting each other.
"My mother is there (hospital) throughout and we are three sisters so we take turns in being with her...we try and have our meals together," she said.
Daman is also overwhelmed by the support and goodwill the PM has garnered in difficult time.
