Three persons of a family were injured during a scuffle that started with eve-teasing in New Seemapuri area of east Delhi late on Thursday. 20-year-old Javed, his two sisters and their mother were on their way home in a rickshaw when suddenly some hooligans in a car started following them and started teasing the young girls.
Javed tried to stop them but the nuisance continued. Javed then came down from the rickshaw and asked the goons to leave them alone, but the perpetrators then started beating him up. His sisters tried to protect him but were molested and assaulted by the assailants. When some passersby intervened, the goons escaped.
While relating this account, Javed alleged that he didn't know the goons and they were drunk. After he lodged a complaint the police have started searching for the assailants who were absconding when reports last came in.
