The newly launched Nailspa Indulgence at Koregaon Park is actually a spa dedicated to nail art. The beautiful salon offers value for money nail treatments. It is a venture by fashion designer-turned-nail professional Riona Biyani and is a franchise of Mumbai-based Nailspa Indulgence.
Ambience: The elegantly designed spa is done up in wood. As you enter, to your left is the cash counter and opposite to it is the sitting area. Next to the counter, there are two booths dedicated to nail art and nail extensions. In the nail spa area, there is a huge brass container that catches your eye. It has floating petals that add a faint aroma to the surroundings. A huge brass statue of Buddha, placed on wooden blocks, looks imposing and has an air of undisturbed tranquility. As your eye scans the area, you cannot fail to notice the beautiful mirror with mina-work that adds to the decor.u00a0u00a0
Services: The place only offers nail-related treatments and services. Apart from the regular pedicure and manicure, they also offer nail enhancement, acrylic nail sets, nail art, hand and feet treatments and aroma treatments. There are specialised services like 3D Nail Art and French Nail Spa, which use chocolate and wine in their treatment as well.
The nail extension: When we went on a Monday evening, the place looked deserted. The owner suggested I try the nail extensions. The process started off with extension nails being attached to the original nails with glue and they are polished with a brush in a process called buffing. After the nail is fixed, the length is decided as per your wish and thereafter, the acrylic coating is done with a brush. After letting it dry for some time, the nails are buffed again. You, then, decide the shade of nail polish to use. Once the entire process was done, I thought my fingers looked very la di da. For a person, who gave little or no attention to nails, this nail treatment was an interesting experience.
