Au00a0new Taekwondo school in the capital is all set to make sure everyone keeps fighting fit; age no bar
It's always a fight, no matter where, when, how. Lessons in the famed Korean Taekwondo might just help you get better prepared. If you didn't know,u00a0 it's the world's most popular martial art in terms of the number of practitioners. With combat techniques, self-defence, sport, exercise, meditation and philosophy all combined into one, it makes for a great tool to ward off wrongdoers. And when experts from US-based school Black Belt World (BBW) are at it, you can be sure it'd be far more empowering than your neighbourhood karate-in-the-park hour.
Get granny along
It's the first offering by BBW in the country, which already operates around 18 institutes worldwide. Not only your three-year-old toddler, but also your 70-year-old grandma can drop in for training. The curriculum is divided into segments like kids' program, super Phoenix program, adults program, families, after school, track-out and summer camp and home schoolers among many others. With state-of-the-art technology, you can either go for a three-year black belt course, or a lifetime session that guarantees you a five-year (or more) experience in the field.
"A major chunk of our course will be centred around women. A majority of Indian women feel that a course like this is not for them. However, we assure that those who undergo it will achieve mental and physical agility," says Master Abhai Singh Rathore, co-founder. And it's safe, too. "No two amateurs practice in close contact for a year." And, there's personal training, too.
