The Delhi high court on Wednesday refused to restrain the MCD from sealing unauthorised constructions within Metro premises in the Capital.
Justice Manmohan Singh passed the order on a petition filed by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation seeking to stay the sealing action which was launched by the civic body on Tuesday. However it allowed DMRC to approach the Lt Governor for relief.
The MCD had sealed a commercial complex housing shops of reputed brands at the Inderlok Metro Station premises on Monday alleging that a private developer has constructed it without authorisation from the civic body.
