Delhi High court will deliver its verdict on the appointment of 164 doctors by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday. It had been alleged that in 2003, the said doctors had been selected by the faculty in violation of the recruitment rules and reservation policy.
Meanwhile, a meeting of governing body of AIIMS was held recently in which these 164 doctors were interviewed for promotions from post of Assistant Professors to that of Additional Professors.
However, the results of these interviews have not been declared so far and those who had appeared for the interviews are still at sea regarding their promotions. "If they are waiting for the court verdict, then they should have told us so earlier," said a faculty member on condition of anonymity.
