Hard Kaur's Thought For Food

I am:
A non-vegetarian, I need my protein.
u00a0
My favourites in non-vegetarian foods are: Butter chicken, salmon, steak.

I am a hard-core fan of: Mussels

I begin my day with: A cup of tea, chai ke bina nahin chalta.u00a0

My breakfast:u00a0 I don't like eating till about 2.30 to 3 in the afternoon. The only thing I can digest is a plain omelette and a banana. Bread chhodi huyee hai. Main saara din Glucon D peetee hoon. So I stay away from juice.u00a0

My lunch, whether at home or when I am recording: Is always dal- chawal and fish. I can never get bored of dal chawal.u00a0

My evening snack is:u00a0 Maggie noodles

My dinner:u00a0 I don't have a particular diet. Usually, I end up having a roti with a piece of chicken. If it's a non-Indian meal, then I love having greens. I have steamed veggies like spinach, beans, broccoli and mashed potatoes. I also love saag it's a great way of having greens.

In sweets, I like: Malai sandwich from Punjab Sweet House in Bandra. They are heavenly.

My fitness regime: Never really had one before Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. But now that I have learnt that an hour of stretching can save you five hours at the gym, I have lost my weight just by dancing which is a fun way rather than getting bored on a treadmill.

My favourite restaurants abroad and in India: Zenzi. I also like the Herb Chicken from the Hard Rock Cafe.u00a0u00a0
u00a0
I can cook: Great Mediterranean cuisine. I do a great fish and salmon salad. I am good at pastas. I can make 15 types of salads. It is easy to cook Italian and Mediterranean uska swaad jo hai is most important. But I don't enjoy making a salad if I don't getu00a0 some crunchy lettuce. The lettuce is good in major restaurants otherwise the lettuce one gets here looks dead.

My favourite cook in my family is: My mum makes the world's best karelas I am not joking.
u00a0
My best dining friend is: My agent Insiya. We love going to posh restaurants. I love trying out different things, but jab time nahin hota hai toh Mahesh Lunch Home zindabaad.u00a0
u00a0
My idea of a romantic meal: Is a really nice lunch. Evening dinners are overrated. A romantic lunch can make the rest of the day great. A picnic in a park would be ideal. A meal comprising a fish, a salad and a hot loaf of French bread should be spread out under a tree. A dog should be playfully running around or maybe children should be playing around. I like the park in Notting Hill Everyone just minds their own business, aap chahe jitney bade star ho koi bhav nahin deta.u00a0
u00a0
My Sunday lunch is:
My breakfast. I enjoy having hot aloo ka parathas with dahi. The parathas have to be dripping in butter, after all I am a Punjabi. Makhan ke bina mazaa nahin aata hai. Besides, you have to indulge one day.u00a0

One thing I can't resist buying is: KFC in India.

I feel guilty after eating: Chocolate cake.u00a0

My childhood memory of food: I lived in Uttar Pradesh till I was about six or seven. My meals included a lot of fish. I enjoyed eating dal-chawal with my hands. I relished ber ka aachar. Unlike me, my family does not eat a lot of fish. Maybe I was meant to be a Koli woman.u00a0u00a0

I always carry with me: Bananas

My comfort food: Biscuits

I am allergic to: Certain nuts

My favourite spice: Indian and West Indian chillies

My favourite poison: Cosmos
u00a0
My favourite beverage: A cup of tea
u00a0
My favourite kitchen appliance: Knives

My favourite Punjabi food: Sarson da saag, of course.u00a0

The meals served on the sets of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa: I ate whatever I needed but their mutton was very
good.
u00a0
For my singing voice I avoid: Yogurt, ice and pickle.u00a0u00a0
