IAS officer posted in MHA detained for allegedly leaking sensitive information to corporates
If Delhi police is to be believed then no secret is safe with Ravi Inder Singh. The 1994 batch IAS officer from the West Bengal cadre who was deputed as director, internal security, division I has been accused of having leaked vital information.

Confirming this, GK Pillai said: "Ravi Inder Singh is suspected to have been passing on secret information to corporate companies and action against him would be taken on Tuesday by the ministry."
Sources said that raids were conducted at Singh's office - North Block - and residence in Nivedita Kunj in RK Puram on Monday by Delhi police Special Cell, after which a case against him was registered at the Special Cell police station at New Friends Colony.
Speaking to MiD DAY, Delhi Police Commissioner BK Gupta said: "We have registered a case against Singh under section 13, Prevention of Corruption Act and section 120, IPC Act," Sources further said that the Intelligence Bureau has been keeping an eye on Singh's activities for the past one month, following which raids were conducted at his house and office on Monday.
"Inputs were given from the IB to us about his dubious activities after which we took action and are further investigating the matter," a senior police officer stated, on condition of anonymity.
Ministry of Home Affairs had also given the clearance to law enforcement agencies, sources said.
Sources further said that it is suspected that Singh was leaking information to some telecom companies on number portability issue, a plan that is being launched today, in Rohtak.
Police officials said that he reportedly had meetings at Shangrila Hotel in New Delhi with corporate bigwigs. "His father is a retired colonel and his brother stays in Chandigarh," sources added.
